Experience

Before COVID-19, I walked in a fashion show fundraiser for charity. Some brands involved were Next and Lulu Blu. I have experience performing in front of crowds as an Irish dancer which I started at the age of 3. I am still dancing today in competition and have performed in venues like the Europa Belfast. I finished 2nd in the Northern Irish Championships 2020 and 5th in the last Ulster Championships. I have had professional photos taken of me whilst on stage dancing so I feel confident in front of the camera. After starting my instagram account in November 2020, (focused on ethical fashion) I have gained experience in posing for photos and putting together my own outfits. Small businesses and brands send me clothing pieces and different items as a gift and I style them for my account. I featured on the first episode of Solas podcast on sustainable fashion which has helped me express myself in a different media setting. Only a few months ago, I started my own youtube channel for fun which has helped me become increasingly more comfortable in front of the camera too.

Training

I practise my runway walk often, but haven’t had any professional training yet. At the fashion show fundraiser, I was given a brief session on how to walk, but apart from that, I have taught myself what I know. However, through my many years of dancing, I have great posture which I feel has helped me develop my walk greatly and makes me stand out. I am able to portray different emotions from my years as a dancer through my movements and facial expressions. From this , I have been used to receiving and working with constructive criticism to improve more everyday.
