Experience
As stated above, I have completed my DIPLCM, and am currently working towards my ALCM examination. Musical theatre is something I have been training in since the early age of 4 and from this training, I have had leading roles in ‘The Addams Family Musical,’ playing the role of Morticia Addams, ‘The Wizard of Oz’, playing the role of ‘The Wicked Witch’, and ‘Grease’, where I played ‘Marty’. Aside from the stage, I have also worked closely with a company called ‘SlackPress’ which is a young enterprise, based in Newry. This experience allowed me to develop my skills both in front of and behind the camera, on countless occasions. I have also had the privilege of working with QRadio, where I was able to get a behind-the-scenes look at how radio production works. Through this opportunity, it opened many doors for more, I was contacted by the BBC to sing on the radio, along with 5 other members from my school, an experience worth remembering! Singing is a huge part of my life, my first experience being at the age of 4 on BBC Radio Ulster’s Hugo Duncan Show! (really was the peak of my career.) Still singing to this day, I have performed with Ashley Fulton in the Ulster Hall, for a show hosted by Peter Correy, and when I am not singing musical theatre, I perform locally with a band called, ‘The Yellow Sky’, who performed 2 years ago at the ‘Fiddlers Green Festival’ in Rostrevor. Through this local band, I have experience in recording studios, perfecting harmonies until all hours of the morning, however, totally worth it for the end result! In November 2019, I hosted and produced a concert in my town called, ‘Bring Me Sunshine’ which raised over 2 grand, for the Children’s Heartbeat Trust. As far as modeling goes, I have done a few outdoor photoshoots for ‘Picturskew Photography’ in Hillsborough Forrest Park. During my gap year, before university, I had the honour of being offered employment in a primary school, where I worked closely with kids, and had the honour to assist in the directing of their school play, ‘The Lion King’, before it was sadly cut short, due to covid19.
