Hello, my name is Molly Houlahan and I am 15 years old from Newry, Northern Ireland. I am a huge theatre kid and have loved performing for as long as I can remember! My favourite things to do include singing (both classical and musical theatre), acting, gymnastics, dance and piano. During lockdown I also taught myself ukulele and this has opened a whole new style to my music genre. I participate in all theatre activities going on in my local area. I have performed in many productions with Newry Musical Society, Flynn Performing arts and schools locally, and am looking forward to the many opportunities that Rising Talent can offer.

Skills
I have achieved my grade 6 singing exam in musical theatre, scoring the highest mark of the session, and am currently working towards my grade 6 classical singing exam, which is to be completed in a few weeks. I used to take dance classes in modern and ballet and left at a grade 4 level but continue to dance in many productions and am known in my local area as a dancer. I am very athletic and perform gymnastics at a high level, most notably I have won 3 British medals for my sport, and I won “Gymnast of the Year” for Northern Ireland in 2018. I do 3 types of gymnastics, acrobatics, artistic and tumbling. I have achieved up to grade 4 in speech and drama and communication skills exams. I have grade 5 in piano and taught myself how to play ukulele and guitar. I also know how to play the tin whistle and traditional flute. I am a confident swimmer and have trained in diving. I can partake in any water sports and also play football, basketball, tennis, volleyball, golf etc.
